Upbit Singapore has achieved a significant milestone in the regulated digital asset ecosystem by obtaining a Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). This development is a follow-up to the in-principle approval (IPA) Upbit Singapore received in October 2023, affirming its compliance with the Payment Services Act 2019. The MPI licence now enables Upbit Singapore to expand its digital asset business, aligning with Singapore’s stringent regulatory standards.
